Hayatt's hive by AgWordSmith

In front of you sits a quaint, farm like hive with a modest looking- wait, is he running? God dammit, he's running for his life! Are all the players going to be running for their lives? One fugitive is enough, but two? Redundancy does not make for good writing.
Nonetheless, we view this peculiar troll running from what seems to be a white cloud. He makes a beeline for his hive, but the cloud is getting closer. Since you, the reader, cannot be harmed in this situation you look more closely at the cloud. It's actually not a cloud, but a horde of lussii. This guy must've pissed them off, poor thing.
This parade looks like its going to stomp all over the garden. Suddenly, they stop. Both lussii and troll tiptoe through the exotic flora, trying not to disturb a single leaf. As soon as he's out of the exquisite flower beds, the troll runs like there's a stampede of raging animals behind him which, in fact, there is. He catapults into his hive and locks the door behind him. You say to yourself, "Is that really going to stop them?!" To your surprise, it does!
The troll sighs in great relief and slumps to the floor, but he's not done with the beasts yet. The ground rumbles beneath the frightened guy as small white claws surface from the dirt floor. He runs up a rope ladder leading to the upper floors of the hive, and makes sure to take the ladder with him.

(Adolescent mole lussus: roughly the size of an adolescent troll when standing upright)

>Enter Name

You cannot enter his name! He's already been named. In fact, he's had this name for at least half a sweep.
You really need to work on your timing and stop missing the parties. You could've given him an awesome name.

>Well what IS his name?

Panel 9 by AgWordSmith

His name is HAYATT GANICE. His HAIR may look A BIT ODD, but white is all the rage these days, even among the older trolls. It also seems to trick the MOLE LUSSII into thinking he's ONE OF THEM. His original lusus dumped this litter of assholes on Hayatt a sweep or two after they crawled out from the trial caverns. He wishes she would come back and take these awful mole grubs away, but he's STUCK with them. They just love to play tricks on him and mess with his possessions.
Besides running from wild animals, Hayatt's passion is HORTICULTURE. He hopes to become a GREENSMAN one day, which is a noble career for some as low as him on the spectrum. Along with plants, he has been forced to dabble in ROBOTICS due to a tie in a bet, but he completely SUCKS AT IT. Although, through his robotic failure, he's come to love CYBER ENTERTAINMENT SEQUENCES. Whenever he can afford it, he'll be out in the nearest goods-repository buying some sort of sequence.

  What shall he do?

  >Examine strange plant

It's not  strange, this plant pretty common around the Grasslands. The 'Golyb vine is a graceful species. It moves of its own accord, stretching towards the sunlight. It's easily offended, so on bad days, Hayatt gives it its space. When it rains, he has to drag the entire thing outside because for some reason, the plant craves water. Adult trolls say that it's because the origins of the vines came from a huge and powerful seabeast that had the power to destroy all of trollkind with just one song. When the being was cleverly slain, its tentacles are said to have retreated into the ocean floor reincarnating itself into the vine we know of today. Those are just fairy tales, though.

 A story that probably

happened.

 >Hayatt:Look out the window

Hayatt peeks out of his bedroom window, only to see that the moles have dug through the hills again. He wonders what ticked them off earlier. They've been fed thrice, and have acres upon acres to roam about. He looks off into the distance at nothing but the Grasslands and wide open spaces. There are no predators or threats, nothing. Something on a deeper level must've spooked them.
He decides to leave the hoard alone. Bothering the lussii now may prove to be fatal, even if they're youngsters. Any lusus has the power to kill, even the most passive ones. Hayatt takes one last look from his window and sees them running, or should he say, digging rampant. At least they steer clear of his garden. It took them a while, but they now realize that's where the food comes from. Well, the non-fleshy food.

>Boring

Well he can't help it if he's boring. There's not much a troll of his stature can do, or afford to do. Having burgundy blood is not exciting. Actually the most exciting thing in Hayatt's life was a while back on his 6th wriggling day. On Parallea, it's custom to send gifts to someone when they turn 6. As if saying, "Congrats on surviving this long!" For a low blood, he received some rather nice gifts from the higher ups in the circle of friends he's managed to keep. Now that he thinks about it, Hayatt's big 6 wasn't that long ago.

>Still Boring

The best things are yet to come, hold your horses!

>Just get to the good part.

We'll get to it when I write it.

Hayatt decides to retrieve something from his Sylladex. His HOLE MODUS is quite simple, but really time consuming. A sizable patch of dirt appears in front of him. Hayatt has to either dig a hole to put a card into, or dig something out. It can only hold as many items as there is room for in the dirt. Luckily for him, the cards are all the same size, and the dirt patch is pretty big.
He digs something up and waves the dirt patch away. What has he retrieved, you wonder? It's a husktop. An older model, but still useful. His more tech savvy friend gave him a mobile husk device, but how it works is beyond him. He turns the husktop on to get some affairs in order. Turns out that someone has been trying to get a hold of him.

If something on the physic level went down, then that surely explains the lussii's behavior. He wonders what it was...

>Who's this?

ITS FINALS WEEK,
and I 'm kinda surprised that I actually got this done before June! Hopefully since its going to be summer break I'll be able to upload more Hivebound. The visions from the new timeline are coming steadily and I can personally say that this new alpha timeline will be amazing! I just hope I can keep up with the rebuilding.
Anyways feel free to ask questions and comment please. I really want to know what you guys think of my work.

It actually drives me crazy when no one says anything about my art and literature. I know it's not that great, but feedback will help me get better!!
Oh! Also there will be a Summer plans journal update from me on the first week of June!

New to Hivebound?
~Start at the Intro~

Wondering about all that timeline crap?
This is the secret beginning that explains it all (mostly)
